Собственно, проблема уже давно описанная на этом форуме: модем предлагает себя как DNS-сервер, но иногда на запросы разрешения имени выдает "1.0.0.0".

Как "обходить" проблему - понятно: прописать статический DNS сервера. К сожалению, это очень неудобно: с ноутом я работаю и дома, и на работе, и в поездках.

Поиск в гугле показал (ССЫЛКА), что по крайней мере в австрийской прошивке эту проблему починили:
вот ТУТ лежит описание прошивки для DSL-G604T, в которой D-Link признал наличие ошибки и починил ее:

Как несложно заметить, дата прошивки (28 июля 2006г) позже, чем последняя прошивка на настоящий момент на российском сайте D-Link (9 января 2006г для DSL-G604T, 20 июня 2006г для DSL-500T).

В связи с этим вопросы:
1. Планирует ли компания D-Link исправить эту ошибку в российских версиях прошивок? Если да - то когда?
2. Подвержены ли модемы новых серий (DSL-2540U, DSL-2640U и тд) этой ошибке?

Как несложно заметить, дата прошивки (28 июля 2006г) позже, чем последняя прошивка на настоящий момент на российском сайте D-Link (9 января 2006г для DSL-G604T, 20 июня 2006г для DSL-500T).

Простите, не очень понял, при чем здесь AnnexM?

Насколько я понимаю, AnnexM увеличивает пропускную способность upstream - причем здесь ошибка с DNS-прокси? Или кроме поддержки AnnexM, в этих прошивках будет исправлена и она?

Это к слову было, предыдущие bug-и исправляются в новых версиях прошивки.
