Пароль потерян.в данный момент времени на сетевом хранилище поднят RAID. NAS настроен для работы c Xen Server и во всю используется. (крутится несколько виртуальных машин)
Проблема в том что утерян пароль администратора. root по ssh (я использовал putty) также просит пароль.

1.Как можно восстановить или сбросить пароль не потеряв данные ?
2.При сбросе настроек кнопкой Reset массив Raid не развалиться ? По новой не попросит отформатировать ? Это абсолютно исключено.. (

Yes there is a way. Access the unit using serial connection, when the unit boots up you will see a prompt that says "PLEASE PRESS ENTER KEY TO STOP AUTOSTART" , press the ENTER key. You will be presented with 6 options, select option 1 to reset admin accounts. It will revert back to factory default of username admin and password admin.

Yes, COM port in the back of your unit. Its a DB9 connector, you will need a serial cable connected to a PC with a COM port or a USB to serial adapter that connects to USB on your PC. You will also need a terminal emulator program like PuTTy or hyperterminal or TeraTerm, these are free program you can download. Connect the serial cable of your choice, boot the DNS-1500-05 then when you see the prompt "Press the Enter to stop Autoboot" press enter key then you can reset the administrator password. The default username will be admin and password admin.
