На ftp.dlink.ru выложена новая версия FW 5.00.18 для DES-2108.

Problems Resolved:
1. System Log Function
- Show Login remote IP on log message.
- Due to parser error on System Log Settings HTML page, all accessing
to System Log Settings via WEB UI will fail while input System Log
server IP and Server UDP port are too long.
- When adding System Log server, user can create duplicate System
Log server.
2. Follow SW Spec. change Maximum VLAN number to 64.
3. SNTP Server cannot be added via WEB UI.
4. While 802.1x is enabled then reboot DUT, client PCs connected on DUT’s
802.1x control port can access DUT for a while without authorized.
5. System crashed when SNMP packet size is extra large.
6. Cannot configure TFTP server IP address trough SNMP if last octet of
server IP contains 127 or 223~254.
7. When periodically getting link status of DUT’s linkup port, DUT
sometimes returns the down status.
8. While reset DUT via WEB UI, sometimes IE browser open plenty
windows endlessly.
9. Cannot management the DUT via VPN connection, if user’s VPN network
MTU is less than 1500.
10. Though forwarding table can operate correctly, WEB UI does not renew
the forwarding table information of the entry which is aging timeout.
11. If user pings DUT at every 60 seconds through remote routed network,
DUT does not response.
12. The switch cannot get IP from DHCP server on these DIR655/DIR615
routers.
13. Due to the wrong of naming plate design, swap the position for Linked
and Speed LED.
14. IGMP Snooping Function
- Cannot join multicast group when DUT first receives multicast video
packets.
- VLC clients cannot join 230.0.0.x Multicast Groups.
- When receiving leave messages, do not follow standard rule to send
specific query packets.
- When Asymmetric VLAN function is enabled, dynamic router ports
displayed on WEB UI are wrong.
- If user cascades two devices between Media Center and IGMP Hosts,
the topology cause DUT no response to PING when router timeout.
- Multicast Entries displayed on WEB UI are not correct.
- Get wrong value of IGMP router ports via SNMP.
15. Command Line User Interface
- When creating more than 31 VLAN groups, telnet session hangs up if
users try to see these VLANs via the command “show vlan”.
- Users who have already login CLI will auto logout if another one
trying to login.
- Though there are two choices on community name access right:
“read only” and “read write”, CLI only prompts “read only”.
- DUT will not let user login, if user’s telnet terminal do not reply
terminal type at negotiation.
- If there are more than 40 Static MAC entries, CLI cannot show these
entries.
- Cannot set System Group Interval to 0 (i.e. 0 means disabled)
through CLI.

Enhancements / Modification:
1. Supports Asymmetric VLAN function
2. Supports IGMP Query state.
3. Supports SNMP control for the following settings
- Asymmetric VLAN
- Bandwidth Control
- Storm Control
- Trusted Host
- IGMP Querier State.
4. Supports CLI control for the following settings
- Asymmetric VLAN Settings
- Bandwidth Control
- Storm Control
- IGMP Querier State.

Note:
This FW v5.00.18 only works with DES-2108 hardware version B1. It’s not backward compatible with previous HW version A1/A2.
